High Speed Stream
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Event Time: 2020-10-31T23:54Z ( DSCOVR: PLASMAG )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
DSCOVR: PLASMAG
Activity ID: 2020-10-31T23:54:00-HSS-001 (version 1)
Event End Time: 2020-11-01T13:35Z
Peak Solar Wind Speed (km/s): 423.0
Date of first appearance of coronal hole in EUV at east limb: 2020-10-19
Note: This HSS could be related to a small coronal hole structure observed towards the center of the Earth-facing disk in SDO AIA 193 on 2020-10-26. There is a small increase of solar wind speed from 380 to 400 km/s that persist for roughly 13 hours. A sharp magnetic field rotation also occurs around the same time. Solar wind temperature remains roughly elevated to more than 100,000 K for several hours afterwards.
